Linear Fit: Help

In the usual case, this fitter is used to fit data to polynomials, often to just a straight line. This type of fit is an example of what is called a linear fit.

You will notice most of the documents in the help system have some arrows appearing at the top and the bottom of the pages. The first possible arrow,Previous arrow, takes you to the previous document in the current set of documents; if there is no such document then the arrow will not appear. The up arrow Table of Contents arrowtakes you up one level in the help hierarchy. The third possible arrow, Next arrow, takes you to the the next document in the current set; if there is no such document then the arrow will not appear.
