Requirements

Attendance ::  Deadlines  :: Marking Scheme

ATTENDANCE

You are required to attend all lab sessions; and will be penalized for unexplained absences. You will attend six lab sessions in the Spring term.

Most experiments are worth one "weight", and can be completed within one session, as long as you are well prepared; you may also have to do some of the final analysis outside lab hours. You are also required to include one of the two-weight experiments (equipment being available), which are somewhat more challenging, take at least two sessions, but are often more interesting.  A two-weight experiment counts as two one-weight experiments with the same mark.

The first experiment will be either "Light Bulb" or "Oscilloscope" and although you are given two laboratory sessions to finish this experiment, it will only count as 1 weight. In addition you must complete 4 more weights for a total of 5 weights for the course.

HOWEVER, Please Note: You must have your demonstrator’s permission to start any new experiment. Such permission will not normally be given until you have completely finished the previous experiment.
