Welcome to the PHY140Y Laboratory!

Professor Tony Key, Lab Coordinator.

Our emphasis in designing this modern physics lab has been to  provide you with enjoyment and fun while you learn.  We hope that it will also allow you to appreciate the beauty and the challenge of experimental science and to develop the skills necessary to make elegant and meaningful measurements of the extraordinary world we live in.

The experiments that you will do at the start of the Fall and Spring terms will complement some of the concepts that you will be studying in your lectures. Thereafter you may chart your own course, choosing from approximately 40 experiments at a variety of levels, spanning most of the major fields of physics.
