Adobe Acrobat Reader

Here is the adobe acrobat reader version 2.1 for windows (1.5M) - to save you trying to get it from the Adobe site which is very busy. Load it into a temporary directory on your machine and then execute acroread.exe From the resulting files execute setup.exe and follow the instructions.

Pkzip/Pkunzip

These programs are needed to unzip many types of files. Download pk204g.exe (200k) put it into a temporary directory and execute it. The most useful programs are pkzip.exe and pkunzip.exe which compress and decompress files respectively.

LabVIEW Demo Version

This is a demonstration version of LabVIEW which is good enough for some exploration work and is compatible with our laboratory versions (which the student edition is not. The student edition is version 3.1, our lab. copies are 4.0).

It is a large download, so watch it! To install it, put it in a temporary directory and use pkunzip -d lv40win to decompress the files. The run setup.exe and follow the instructions

Download LabVIEW demonstration version 4.0 (11.9M)

I don't know exactly what the entire list of restrictions is, but one big one is that you can't save your work or load a VI. This makes it a tad difficult to use it for any serious work, but it is useful for getting the hang of things.
