This is a low-noise general purpose amplifier providing the flexibility of plug-in preamplifiers, calibrated gain, calibrated low and high frequency rollofs, low distortion, and high stability.

Operating Instructions


  1. Turn the unit on at the top right hand corner.
  2. Connect a signal using the BNC connector A or B making sure that the switch is in the proper position.
  3. If you are using the amplifier in differential mode, make sure the switch is in the A-B position and two signals are inputted.
  4. Connect any output using either the 50 Ohms or 300 Ohms BNC connectors.
  5. Make sure the gain calibration knob is fully counter-clockwise and adjust the gain knob to the desired setting.
  6. The filter knobs represent a band pass filter where the outer knob is the upper frequency and the inner knob is the lower frequency.
  7. If the input signal exceeds the level indicated in the specifications, the overload light will go on. Use the recovery switch to reset the amplifier once the signal has been readjusted.
