Manufacturer: Pasco
Model: 9302
Cost: $290 (1973)

Description

An electronic filter capable of analyzing any periodic waveform over a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz. The filter has four modes: band pass, band reject, low pass, and high pass.

Specifications

Band ModeAccepts narrow band of freq., rejects all others.
operates at better than 28 dB/octave.
Freq. dial calibration is within approx. 10% up to about 10 kHz.
Gain is constant within 2 dB from 20 Hz to 4 kHz.
Bandreject modeAll frequencies are passed except for a narrow rejected band.
High pass modeRejects low freq. at >= 20 dB/octave.
Low pass modeRejects high freq. at > 20 dB/octave.

Operating Instructions

  1. Connect the input to the input jacks
  2. Select the desired MODE
  3. Select the desired frequency with the FREQUENCY and MULTIPLIER switches
  4. Connect the outputs (10K) to the desired components.
  5. Adjust the INPUT GAIN for the desired output level. Be sure that the signal level is not too high or else it will clip. CLipping may be recognized on an oscilloscope by the peaks of the wave being 'clipped off'.

Precaution

Make sure the ground terminals (black) are the same for all components. Ground on the oscilloscope connections is the outer metal plug.
