Description


Low-noise 1000 Hz tuned amplifier/voltmeter. Scales are calibrated in SWR and dB for use with square law detectors.

Operating Instructions


  1. Use the gain control to adjust FINE and COURSE gains.
  2. Connect instrument to the IN connector.
  3. Press the '40 dB' button.
  4. Put GAIN control in its centre position
  5. Set BANDWIDTH switch to 100 Hz.
  6. Move probe along slotted line to obtain maximum deflection
  7. Adjust GAIN so that the pointer arrives exactly at 1.0 on the VSWR scale.
  8. Move proble along slotted line to obtain minimum deflection.
  9. Read the SWR directly from the upper scale. Repeat from step 4 for scales 2 and 3.
